INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL HUMANITIES

This seminar introduced students to the theories and methods of the digital humanities and provided opportunities for hands-on experimentation with DH tools and techniques. We engaged with a broad spectrum of readings that situate the digital humanities historically and give an overview of emerging practices, theoretical underpinnings and disciplinary paradigms of the field. A series of tutorials provided hands-on experience with a range of common digital humanities tools. The seminar culminated in a final project in which students applied DH methodologies to their own research interests.
